What is your favorite thing about gymnastics?
"My favorite thing about gymnastics is when you set a goal to learn a new skill and you get it; it's a great feeling."
What is your favorite gymnastics event?
"My favorite event is beam."
What are your short-term and long-term gymnastics goals?
"My short term goal would be to make 2008 Championships. My long term goal would be to compete at Worlds or get a college scholarship."
If you had one wish, what would it be?
"To never get hurt again!"
What has gymnastics taught you?
"It has taught me discipline, and dedication."
In your opinion, what is the hardest thing about gymnastics and why?
"I think the hardest thing in gymnastics is coming back after injuries because you feel like you're set back."
Who do you look up to as role-models in both life and gymnastics?
"In the gym I look up to Amber and Lou because they are older and they give me advice when something isn't going right. In life, my role models are my parents and grandparents."
What is your favorite competition that you have competed in so far and why?
"My favorite competition was the 2006 US Challenge. That was my favorite meet because I was given a chance to make it to Training Camp and I did and it was my first big meet so I was very excited."
Besides gymnastics, what do you like to do in your free time?
"In my free time I like to hang out with my friends, go to the movies, draw, and listen to music."
What is your favorite thing about training at Parkettes?
"I love training with my friends. They're great, they help me get through anything, we're all like sisters to each other."
If you weren't a gymnast, do you think you would be doing any other sports?
"I think I would like to try volleyball."
What advice would you give to up-and-coming gymnasts?
"My advice would be to just have fun with everything that you do and to keep trying no matter what happens." |
